xX][The American Revolution ][Xx

Everyone around the globe is interested about the fact that the United States contains so many different types of people, but are all the same in so many ways. America contains African Americans, Asian Americans, Latin Americans, and so much more. America is a free country and has captured my interest into researching this topic to write about.

America started out as a massive piece of land on the West side of the world, that hasn't been discovered. At the time, Great Britain was very powerful, when they've heard about the discovery of America, they decided to colonize it. Meanwhile, the Native Americans have been settled in that land for a long period of time, and consider it their home. When the British moved in, they attacked many lands and homes that belonged to the Natives. Through many feuds and issues between each other, they've decided to try to keep the peace between them.

The British have started out with 13 colonies in America. The whole east coast from New York down to South Carolina. The colonists have started their lives in those 13 colonies. People died and people were born there, and they have gotten on with their everyday lives.

Then, the colonists decided to extend westward across the Appalachian Mountains, into Native American territory. Soon enough, the British got themselves into a war between themselves and the French and the Indians. The War was called the French and Indian war, which as a result, the British have won.

Later, through many battles, such as The Battle of Yorktown, The Battle of Princeton, and The Battle of Trenton, lead to the Revolutionary War.

The war was due to the British being to harsh on the colonists, like raising taxes, and slave trade. The colonists wanted to be independent from the British, but the British refused to break the chain. The colonists felt as if the British were controlling them, and wanted to unite together, creating their own country.

George Washington, leading the Battle of Princeton and Trenton, succeeded in ending the battles, and kicking the British out of the colonies. Still moving westward, America has extended massively, towards the Pacific Ocean.

George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and other founding fathers have signed the Declaration of Indipendance, announcing that they are a free country. The colonists have elected George Washington to be the first president of the United States due to his heroic ability to lead the colonists to victory. Obviously, he succeeded, with many twists and turns in the process.

This lead to what America is today and how it has changed since the revolution. Obviously, America has a massive history, and is different from any others. This country grabbed my attention to write about it as my topic, and express my interest for it's history.
